Monster Art: Imp in Hell Lavaby ~low-quality

I was getting back into drawing in the past few months and decided to get back into it by practicing on a set of monster pictures.

This is an imp which is a low-class demon.
He's sitting in either hell or a lava pool, whichever you like.

This took ages to do, although I do like all the little details I manged to include like the fish, skull and squidy.

It's probably the all round best of my monster art pictures of early 2007.

The coloring in this is WOW. I really dig how you colored the lava and added in those delicate texture... I also really like drawing demons, so I'm fond of this little guy. ^_^ *goes to pet his head and is promptly slammed in the face by the mace* X_x;

Okay, forget that, the crazy piranha in the lower right corner is my new best friend. XP *gets her head bitten off*

hehe , glad you like all the little tidbits in the piccy !

I love drawing demons too, although most of the time I draw big bad-ass tanks of demons.
This one looks more like a dark hairy Gollum who hasn't been watching his waistline.

Don't let his dwarf-like stature, pot belly and arms that are only slightly thicker than the handle of the club/mace fool you ..... lol ...

Even though he's a low-class demon , I still think low class demons should be stronger than average humans ... lol ...

Damn ..... I just noticed I forgot to shade the hair one of his shins ...... darn it , I told him if he'd just shave that unsightly body hair to make him look abit more respectable in public ... so it's mostly his fault ...
